Successful Lead Optimization project in collaboration with Servier presented at EFMC2018

The successful results of a Iktos-Servier collaboration on a lead optimization project were presented today as a poster at the EFMC 2018  meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Iktos molecule generation technology was applied to a data set of 880 molecules in order to identify molecules meeting all 11 success criteria of the project. Among the 11 molecules suggested by the AI algorithm that were synthesized and tested, 1 met the project Target Product Profile and the overall performance on all compounds was very high. This is the first report of a successful application of deep learning for de novo design in drug discovery at a lead optimization stage.
