About Iktos
Iktos is a Paris-based, artificial intelligence start-up whose mission is to help biotech and pharma companies discover new drug candidates: both via improving and accelerating drug design and synthetic planning in the early phases of pharmaceutical drug discovery. We develop leading edge AI technology which we provide either as software platforms to be used by chemists, or through collaborative research projects with pharma or biotech companies where we support part of or entire drug discovery programs. We have worked with more than 50 pharma and biotech companies since the company was created in 2017.
Our de novo design AI technology leverages recent advances in machine and deep learning to generate novel molecules which satisfy targeted drug’s criteria. Data-driven retrosynthetic analysis is another key area of research for Iktos, and our technology enables organic chemists to identify promising synthetic routes in a few seconds. We have intensive R&D and collaborative research activity, and we work in multi-disciplinary teams consisting of AI and data scientists (applied maths and computer science background), computational chemists, medicinal chemists and IT engineers.
Our team has now grown up to 55 employees. Our business development team is also present in the US, the UK and Asia where we already have customers and partnerships with pharma and biotech companies.

Mission
Iktos is currently seeking a Product Manager to support the development of its SaaS web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the product roadmap. Your main tasks will include, but are not limited to, understanding the needs of external and internal clients, contributing to the drafting and monitoring of functional specifications, ensuring adherence to development schedules, and maintaining the quality of deliverables. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about working in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
As the Product Manager, you will:
- Become an expert in all applications developed by Iktos and collaborate with internal R&D teams as well as our clients and stakeholders to lead the product roadmap and steer the direction of each product.
- Work with development and R&D teams to define functional specifications, designs, and user stories for each project. This includes facilitating regular work sessions with project teams to ensure progress.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients and stakeholders to understand and document their needs and respond with existing or potential solutions.
- Develop a clear and comprehensive understanding of the products, requests, and competition, to propose solutions that create a competitive advantage in our sector.
- Present decisions, designs, and specifications to stakeholders and clients, including development schedules.
- Ensure the proper execution of the roadmap and the quality of the products, including functional testing and adherence to schedules.
- Work as part of a team to continuously improve the applications, such as proposing technical or functional improvements, sharing knowledge or skills with various teams.
- Recognize that your work is part of a multidisciplinary environment and that proposed solutions must consider multiple commitments and constraints.
- Present to and train Application Scientists on new features when necessary.
- Know how to manage functional or scheduling conflicts and propose solutions to resolve or work around them.
- Be responsible for maintaining all product documentation (user manuals, installation manuals, technical questionnaires, etc.) for customers and clients and participate in the design of product marketing materials.

Profile
We are looking for an experienced individual with experience in similar role ideally in a pharma/health company and/or with initial scientific academic training, knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug discovery, and/or interest in artificial intelligence technologies, to become our Product Manager.
The ideal candidate should have the following skillset:
- Education: specialized scientific master’s degree, or degree from a top engineering school.
- Knowledge of or experience in chemistry and biology, as well as AI and IT project management, are a plus.
- The candidate must be proficient in English and French both in writing and speaking. Our clients and teams are international, so it is essential that the Product Manager can communicate in English at all stages of the projects, while French is the main language in the company.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional experience of at least 5 years, including experience as a project manager (MOA) or product manager.
- Strong sense of organization and attention to detail.
- Independent and proactive, always seeking to improve products and development and delivery processes.
- Keen to work on large projects with many stakeholders in a cross-functional role.
